SSE's Android Team Home (Discontinued)
DISCONTINUED - (Feb 2008) - Due to the members of the team becoming overwhelmed with their individual responsibilities, the ADCT was forced to discontinue these efforts.
Welcome to the official pages dedicated to the Society of Software Engineer's Android Developer Challenge Team! That's a mouthful to say, so you may see it abbreviated a number of different ways including, but not limited to, "the ADCT", "the Android Team", or "the SSE-ADCT."
In the final days of 2007, Google announced their Android Software Platform for mobile devices. Partnered with the Open Handset Alliance, Google intends on pushing Android as a standard platform for the development of mobile applications. It was from this that Google decided to encourage developers by creating the Android Developer Challenge. A collective of members from the SSE banded together in order to enter this competition for fame, fortune and experience.
Within the pages of this site, you'll find a blog which will serve as our public news cast on our activities and progress, a team roster to highlight each member of the team, as well as some future content when we have it available.
