4. Golisano Resume Book for Students Seeking s Summer (084) Co-op or Full-time Position – Make it easy for employers to view your resume by adding it to our resume book in Job Zone!

In light of the tough economy, we realize that finding a summer co-op job or full-time job upon graduation may be more of a challenge this year.  We want you to know we are aware of the situation, and will continue to do all we can to promote RIT GCCIS students to our current employers and prospective companies in targeted industries.

One of our strategies this year is to proactively market students to employers through an on-line resume book.  We’ve set up two resume books in RIT Job Zone, one for summer co-op and one for graduating students.   If you’d like to be included in either of these books, and get your resume in the hands of potential employers, please follow the procedure below.  The deadline for inclusion in the resume books is April 25th.

Procedure for resume book:

  • Logon to RIT Job Zone on the Student page of our web site – www.rit.edu/co-op/careers
  • In the Privacy tab of the Profile section, be sure you have checked “Yes” to be included in resume books
  • Click on the Documents tab
  • Upload your resume if it is not already in the system (label your resume First name_Last name Resume; for example, John_Smith Resume).  Make sure your objective states whether you’re looking for a co-op or full-time position, and your availability.  *Please make sure your resume has been reviewed by me or another Program Coordinator from our office prior to uploading.*
  • Click on the Opt-in Resume Book tab
  • Under Options, click on Select Resume Books
  • Under Target Opt-in Resume, select GCCIS – Co-op Students Available for Summer 2009, or GCCIS Graduating Students, and submit your resume
  • Deadline for submission is April 25th

Please let me know if you have any questions or problems.

*Please note: The resume book will take the place of you having to email your resume directly to me if you are seeking a Summer 084 Co-op or full-time job.  For those of you who have already emailed your resume to me, please also add it to the appropriate resume book.
